what do i do to prep Black Palm wood
so I can glue it to my riser ?
Riser is made of oak and black walnut
ive posted pics on the what did, in-- what did I do today topic,
Im filling the curves with the Black-Evil-Palm

Be sure the moisture content is good 6 percent or less. sand the glue surface with at least 60 grit blow it off and glue it.

I just glued up a riser with a black palm flair this evening.
As crooked stick said make sure it’s dry!!
And I always stabilize my b/p. It stabilizes quit nicely.
Makes it less brittle and easier to work with. Also adds some strength and some mass weight. I rough mine up with 36 grit before glue up.
