Pushed my strike plate out from riser to shoot a weaker spined arrow. Shoots great now with good arrow flight, but I can hear the nock hit the riser. I padded riser where it hits and played with fletch orientation. This dampened the noise, but I still hear it. Suggestions?

Hmmm. When you say hitting the riser do you mean the side of the riser/side plate? If so, you probably built out the riser too far. Fletching will straighten the arrow quickly and to show apparent good arrow flight, but nock hitting the strike plate side of the riser would indicate a too stiff arrow. Did your brace height drop? Too low a brace height will also cause the nock to hit the riser.

Mine was doing this too. So hard it would eventually knock the bottom fletch off. I lowered my nock point and it stopped . Suppose you're just going to have to play with it...

Not enough infor… are you a three under shooter? one or two nock points? what is your current nock height? draw weight at your actual draw length? bow cut past center or what? spine of arrow you are shooting? length of arrow?
I'm sure I missed a few but that should help.

Trying to dampen the noise is a band-aid you need to fix the problem....
Brace height off or nock point one....
Hope you get it figured out.

Big Jim...... split finger, 4\8" nock height, 2 string nocks, 51# 21st century longbow with strike plate built out past center and arrows(Victory 450 29") are bare shaft tested and part of my tuning was building out past cent in small increments, great arrow flight. 250, 200, 175gr field pts. 30" Beman 400's also have nock sound on strike plate. Shot some woodies last night and had no nock sound. Playing with everything now..pt weight, brace height, nock height, pushing out and bringing in strike plate. A bare shaft has no nock sound hitting strike plate, but a fletched shaft does? Orientating fletch differently to see if that works.

I understand that the bare shaft flies well, however I've seen great bare shafting yet the shaft was obviously contacting the riser... terrible audible click when shot.
For your set up, I would suggest that the 400 spine is really too stiff especially since they are cut short and you may be getting a false read on tune.
I understand that it could be something else and not being there to see, I can only use educated guesses to help.

if your wanting your bare shaft to fly like your fletched arrow, You need to add the weight of your fletching (8-18 grains) to the nock end of your arrow. It will spine the same, straight in. Nock end should be a little high.
