My images are coming in sideways, and I notice that some other people's photos are coming in sideways as well. I seem to remember that there used to be a way to edit the photos so they weren't sideways, but I can't find that anymore. I tried rotating the original image sideways on my iPad, hoping that two wrongs might make an upright, but that didn't change the sideways orientation on Tradgang.

Quite some time back I had installed the "auto image rotation" mod that worked for awhile and then began creating problems with our overall forum software. I just tested it out again by re-installing it and it shut down the viewing of all threads, so ..... :dunno: sorry.

If your images load sideways or upside down, go back into your device photos and edit the image slightly. Edit contrast or one of those just slightly. Then go back to upload image at Tradgang. Works for me.

I must be jinxed. When I attach the file it only comes up with the downloadable link, but it does not display the image in the post. Did i miss a step someplace?

Pictures do not display within the post when you are working on it, will only list the word attachment=1, Or =2 for second attachment, etc.
After you submit the post will the pictures appear.

If an image is embedded in a PDF file the image will not show in a post, only the link to the image will be shown in a post.
Images that were added to PDF files can be separated out.
Some PDF images look like complete images but are not, instead they're composites and can't be removed intact from the PDF. For those, if the PDF image is fully shown on a computer screen, a screen capture of the image will create a single image that can be added to a forum post.

Yer not jinxed and the attachment you made to a post was successful.
Images inside of PDF files will not show in any forum post, only the link to the image, which in your case was a PDF file.
Separate the image from the PDF file and post that, yer good to go.
