Title: bare shafting
Post by: trapperDave on April 07, 2008, 11:05:00 AM
doing some testing of different spines and point weights....everything goes to the same point of impact at 16 yds (except that one arrow which is consistently a flyer, kindling now)  :)

That's not bad for an in-the-ballpark tune and would probably be fine to hunt with.

When I want to fine tune my target rigs,I back up to 25-30 yards and just watch the bareshaft  flight. If it curves right,it is weak and if it curves left it is stiff, for a right hand shooter.High or low would be a nock adjustment.

It's sometimes hard to tell with that kind of bag that close. Some of thoes nock left and nock rights could be showing weak or stiff. Also hard to tell with the angle of the picture but they look more stiff than weak.

Good luck with the tuning
