I use arm guard, but still have trouble with string slapping my upper sleeve. Is there a garter or something on the market to help with that?
Lin
Lin,
I had an armguard custom made just for that. I'll try to get pics of it later tonight, but it is a shorter arm maybe about 5.5" in length with longer bungie that goes about my bicep just above my elbow just for keeping my clothing back out of my string. I know some guys that use rubber bands, but the custom armguard made more sense to me. dino
Thanks dino. Looks like I'll have to do something similar.

Mike of Mike's Archery leather made me one 3 years ago, I use it all the time in the summer. Frank
Thanks Frank. I'll check it out.

and if you don't want leather, cut a sock off & slide it over your sleeve...a lightweight dress sock works great for me.
Randy
I can do that.

Hogtamer got me using those scrunchies women put in their hair. They work great, just buy you own or you'll be in trouble.
An old pair of nylons cut to length will work too.

That's what I do.
Real Tree makes one for $7.99,don't know why someone would buy one though. :knothead: It would make a good door prize at a function.
I had two garters made by a friend out of 1.5 inch wide elastic. I use them with my longhunter shirt. They work great and are cheap to make.
How about a rubber band?

my thoughts exactly...i use to keep them in my pocket but after see'ing fred eichler I now do the same.
Simply put a bunch on my bow quiver and once i get setup just throw a few on my upper arm...i find multiple uses for them every time im out there.
