Went out stumpin on our property today. I have been practicing alot, and am shooting pretty well. My dad decided to come with me. He has shot maybe 10 arrows the past year and none since he was a kid with Trad. Now i have my bow all dialed in. He took his Pse Coyote and some arrows, we had laying around. ( he didnt want to "scratch" his new Toelke.) Man he can shoot. 90% hit rate out to 42 steps. He hasnt practiced in years. I asked him how he shoots. He said "i close one eye, point the tip and shoot. :knothead: Just like when i was a kid shooting rats in the dump. :banghead: We shot with whatever we had." What a beautiful way to spend the day in the woods. Thanks Dad. :clapper:
Kool!

Strange as it may sound.....alot of folks shot like that (and very well I may add) back in the '60s and '70s.
They would close one eye and aim that arrow just like they would a rifle or shotgun.
Sounds like a lot of fun!
Good times!!!!!!!!!!
Woodchuck,
Its amazing how well he shoots like he does. Shoots all his guns the same way. I still have his "first" bow. In 1956 he bought it . Took him a year to work, and save $40.00 for it. A 1 piece 45# recurve a local was making. Unfortunately it has a bent limb. Still in beautiful cond though. I showed him my stringer last year and he said, "whats that". We didnt have that stuff when i grew up." No, you didnt but whatever he had it worked good enough to hit rats!
