I am going to try and make this one as well.

When is the banquet this year?....couldn't find anything on the web site.
-
NGTA stopped having banquets some few years ago.
TBG on the other hand has the annual banquet scheduled for 8/10/19. It will be held at the GA Wildlife Federation HQ in Covington, GA. Business meeting will likely start at 3:30 p.m.
Gonna be a good one again this year. Our scheduled speaker is the current president of the PBS, Matt Schuster. Lots of great raffle items will be available. Plus live auctions and card raffles.

I've been meaning to join/attend one of these shoots for a while. Not sure if I can make this one, but I plan on showing up sometime soon. I've never shot a 3D course before, what should I bring (number of arrows, bow, humility, etc.)?
-
I just Google mapped Covington. Why is every town in Georgia so far away? :banghead:
-
Whiskyweasel,
Bring at least six arrows. You might need all of them. You mentioned humility. Bring that. Plus a great sense of humor and a desire to have a good time with good people.
KenG,
Move south... :goldtooth:
-
Dutchman,
Great, thanks, I'll bring all of that! Won't be able to make it tomorrow but will try to be there in the near future. Getting my wife set up with her first bow so hopefully the whole family can make it.
-
Yes...talking about TBG...need to join back up...long story....
Will be worth it to hear my friend Matt speak!!!...I love it...consider me there.

Wow, challenging course today, we had a good time. I didn’t shoot that well and the wife is getting better , I still pulled out a win...... but not by much,

It was an interesting set up this month to be sure. Some pretty technical shots. Not too long, but long enough and some good hunting type presentations.
We had 51 shooters signed in yesterday, which is a good crowd. Not huge, but good.
We'll do it again next month but on the second Sunday as opposed to our normal first Sunday of the month. And then August will be the last shoot of the season. Won't be long now...
