Every year I make a bunch of fancy tillering gizmos to put on the TG St Jude auction. I sent out requests high and low for extra fancy wood scraps to make gizmos out of and received over 100# of great stuff. I got a bunch of curly maple, figured and plain walnut, beautiful spalted wood, cherry and a bunch of pretty but unknown wood.
I promised the people who donated wood that their wood would be used to raise money for the St Jude auction but found out there is not going to be and auction this year.
I don't know if this falls outside the guidelines for the classifieds, mods delete it if it does.
I will send one fancey gizmo shipped free to anyone who shows me proof of their making a $20 donation directly to St Jude. You will get a fancy hand made and branded gizmo from the inventor complete with instructions for its use. This offer is for US shipping only.
I will start with fancy curly maple gizmos first as I received over 75# of really great stuff. They will vary from one to the next because each piece has a different amount of curl.
Here is an example;

No problem Eric....but the organizers didn't "cancel it". We decided to skip this year, so you can't cancel something that was never started to start with.
If you would, let us know the total so we can add it to the overall total raised through Tradgang....thanks.

Will do.

I have sent out 11 gizmos so far, donations have varied from $20 to $100, my donation total is around $375 at this point. Most people donated $25 instead of the $20 I requested and I don't know the amount some donated so I suspect my total is probably over $400.

This trade has been an overwhelming success, I think I am at over $600 in donations.
It is time to bring this to a close, I have made a pile of gizmos to send out and been living in my shop making them so it is time call it quits for this year. I plan to do the same next year about this time. I have become allergic to wood dust over the years and can tell it is time for a break.
Tomorrow will be the cutoff day, I will still take orders today. Thank you all so much for your generosity.
I will still be making extra special signed gizmos and offering them one at a time for a St Jude donation.
Here is an example of some my most spectacular wood turned into a gizmo that I will be offering one at a time later, this is burl walnut.

Great job, Eric.

I have a lot of special one at a time gizmo deals planned for the future, perhaps a dozen plain unfinished cedar gizmos as a lot for someone to take to MoJam to hand out. The soft wood ones are easy to make, they will be branded but unfinished.
The hard maple I have been using this go round takes some time to turn into gizmos and apply the finish. They also show every tool mark you think was gone after the first coat of finish is applied, I have resanded a bunch of them and started over.
I have sent Pappy a bunch of boxes of these plain cedar gizmos for the folk to use at Twin Oaks;
