What angle you sawing that to get that effect.

45 degree end to end.

It was a guess, Kenny told me one time but ya know how an old farts mind wanders:)

Yep he told me once to and I ferget. Maybe Kenny can remind us soon. :bigsmyl:

Kenny has a mind like a steel trap! Rusty!
I have a jig that sets the back end of the blank over 3/8" , and set the blade angle to 2 degrees making a compound angle . You can change the angle of the pattern easily by changing the blade angle a bit if you don't like the first results.
Then with the blank face down (grain you want) square the sides up.
When cutting the veneers off the blank, I change ends with blank each pass because if your bandsaw blade is not perfectly square with table, you will change the pattern in a few passes.

I couldn't decide on 1 color so I ordered two different colors. Just have to make two bows :goldtooth:

Thanks Kenny. I m pretty sharp but pretty sure Elroy is rusty.
Nothing wrong with making two bows.

Kenny, that is a great idea to set the blade to 2 degrees, This old head would never have thought of that, learning all the time is good.
