Kentucky Klassic 3D shoot
turkey season opens here on Sunday, so saturday we are headed to camp. I'll be back home Tuesday where I'll find Miss Hope waiting for me to take her hunting for the next two weeks. Things are looking up for the home team.
Well, rain or shine I'll be sittin in a blind with a few decoys in front of me, and a grizzly on the string of my 52" recurve. Hopefully it'll be shine, but the forcast is lookin more like rain and mabye a thunderstorm :help: .

No hunting for us, but 12 gallons of sap tonight and more trees running good so hopefully the sugar shack will be fired up and syrup done by Sunday night. I love the woods in the spring.
I'll be headin to Pittsburgh in th AM to meet some of the Hall of Fame Steelers such as Terry Bradshaw, Jack Lambert, Jack Ham, Mel Blount, Mean Joe, LC Greenwood, John Stallworth, and the godfather himself Chuck Noll. Late Saturday afternoon going to a fish fry as an end to our winter archery league at our club, then a coon shoot after dark. Sunday morning going back to the club to meet some Trad shooters for our first outside 3D shoot this year.
I will be working the Wisconsin Bowhunters Booth at the Deer and Turkey Expo in Madison, WI both Sat. and Sunday.
Honestly?....I've had a tough week. I'm just going to lay around this weekend........lol.
Spending time up north with just the wife!! NO KIDS!! We got up here last night and let me tell you it was awesome to sleep a full night without getting up with a kid. Today we go looking for sporting goods and archery shops!! Anybody know of any in the Traverse City, Michigan area??

Taking my 14 year old nephew on his youth Turkey hunt.
Heard six gobblers last Sun. at the spot we'll be hunting.
Ya'll that are hunting have my envy! :archer: I'll start Sat. am by checking feeders and refilling as required, followed by a brake job on my truck.
Sunday will find me on the golf course, probably followed by a couple hours work on my jeep rebuild.
With assorted arrow flinging in between! :biglaugh:

Heading to the North Dakota Bowhuners Association annual banquet and shoot. Fred Eichler is the guest speaker so I'm pretty excited to have a trad guy in the lime light here for a change.

Skyler and I are bowfishing Saturday night and on the first Sunday of April, for the past 5 years, we've had a Wild game/fish-fry cook out, birthday, glad it's Spring, Party..Wild hog, Crappie, Tuna, Venison, Turkey, and 'possom :) ...Around 50 folks....Bows, clay targets, plenty of food, and GOOD friends....and to quote Pappy, "Life is Good"....., Don and Skyler
Yard cleanup on Saturday :archer: If I get done early, I may run out and pull some stands and look for turk sign. The weather is supposed to be nice and I sure don't plan on staying indoors. :cool:

Work Saturday. Watch the snow melt Saturday afternoon. Sunday: Drive to check out a camp ground near where a Trad shoot is happening in July. Check out my new trail cam for pics. Then maybe a couple of glasses of home brew!
Buckracks7 and I went up to the Menard Archers 3-D shoot today. The weather was great and it was really fun getting out again. Buckracks likes the big deer; I'm in it for the eats.
