No sheds, but Dixie and I got a limit of stumps. We found some rubs that I was unaware of also.

looks like you, dixie and your shrew had a good outing!
Spring rubs are the best. Very nice pics Roger
Great trip. I've tried stump stew, not to my taste. :bigsmyl: :campfire:
[attachment=1,msg2858012] Old blue and I did a little scouting too.
Looks like a doggone good time to me . . . :goldtooth:
Looks like a doggone good time shooting bark and hunting bone
Best time to scout is in spring before green-up. You can see all of last years sign, no worries about spooking deer right before season and you can get some tree stand preparation done. Even if a buck was shot last fall, another one will likely be attracted to the same things, so clear some shooting lanes and get the stand sight prepared. Also, like uncle Barry recommends, get your entry to the stand cleared out.
Thanks for sharing. I love roving this time of the year. Best time to shoot stumps and scout for the deer.
Yessir! That's how my shed hunts usually go too. But they are a lot of fun!
What woods are in your bow Roger? I'm about :30 away from ordering my first Shrew.

Handle is black micarta, with Bubinga accent stripe. The veneers and overlay are "Save The Rainforest Rosewood".
You will love it....superb quality.
Thanks Roger!
Thanks for the walk-along Roger!
It sure makes me miss living in the "Mit"!!!
I like living in Colorado near the Rocky Mountains, but sure do miss the wonderful hardwood forests and Fall/Winter times (regardless of how "bad" the winter is.... i'm made for it).
Really am jealous of you folks that can stump shoot and wonder. Living in the 7th largest city in the country makes that hard. Now that I'm retired might be able to find a few spots to wonder a bit.
:coffee:  :archer2: :campfire:

All of the Shrew bows have a bamboo core in the limbs
