Title: Arrow weight for Bob Lee signature
Post by: Indie on April 01, 2008, 04:27:00 PM
Í had bought a second Hand Bob Lee signature recurve bow and now I wonder what the minimum arrow weight is for that bow.
I´draw about 60lb at 31".

Tried my 55/75 31,5" gold tips traditional hunter with 100gn tips, which seem to fit perfectly.
My 31,5" ACC 3-39 are a little bit lighter I think - can I still shoot them?

I also got another pair of limbs which I draw to about 65lb at 31" - how about arrow weight for those?

Hope I´ll get some ideas from you.

Thanks,
Stefan

You want to shoot 8gr to 10gr per pound of bow weight (I think I got that right).

You shoot 60lb x 8=480gr, x9=540gr, and etc. Some go even higher then 10gr, it's what you/bow likes to shoot.

I forgot to add, ask the bowyer what he recomends for his bows. On the average most bowyers like no less the 8gr. Hope this helps and have fun and enjoy.
