with all of the new products out there i was wondering what people are shooting? bcy vs. brownell, how many strands and what type of serving? also do you pad the loops?
i shoot bcy 8125 14 strands with padded loops and halo serving out of my 43 # recurve.

I personally shoot 8 strands of 450+ with padded loops and Diamondback serving.
-
I shoot whatever Leroy makes for me!! Which is usually 6-8 stands of 450+!!
-
I curently use 12 strand 8125 with the loops padded to 18. But I think I am going to change back to my 10 strand TS-1 with the loops padded to 14. I like the TS-1 better.

I like to shoot 12 strands of D97 with .024 halo on all my bows.Dacron on a couple of older recurves.
-
TS-1 is the best material I have found by far!!! Joseph

Another vote for TS-1, hands down best (quietest and still good speed) on all the bows I've put it on. Same with halo serving.

B-50 for me!

TS-1 if'n the bow can handle it.

Dynaflight '97 is my first choice, with 8125 coming in a pretty close second. 62XS for the serving, with Halo coming in second. Strand count depends on the bow. Loops padded to 18 strands.

12 strand D-97 with 6 additional strands in the loops and braided serving material that matches the nocks for the arrows.
-
D97 or TS-1 Braided FF serving material
-
FF plus string.
