Here is the stuff that Ive made for an upcoming mountain lion hunt. Sinew backed cedar with an otter quiver and hickory shafts fletched up with wild turkey feathers, selfnocks and trade points. The cedar is from here on my place in Arkansas and the bow is 52'' 50@26 and will send a 650 grain hickory fast and quite!

Hickory arrow and a cedar bow? I think you got your boards swapped....Just joking. I love the primitive set. Good luck!
What are the details of the trade points? I'm making some that are really similar.

Great looking outfit Mike!
I have tried some Eastern Red Cedar (which is actually a juniper, not a cedar...) but have had trouble with the wood getting brittle. Do you work it really green and then fine tune with adjustments as it dries?
Good luck with the cat hunt. Where ya headed to?

Its juniper and I work it and sinew back it green then allow it to dry together.

Hey Mike,
That is a beautiful bow.
Any chance you would post some closeup pics?

Thats beautiful! they us know how it works out for you. I just bought a place in Arkansas and it has some nice clean roaster red cedar on it, I will be trying a bow with it!
