hey guys did jeff massie build a straight longbow model AMERICAN??

Yep. Not sure of the name, but I have one. It's a straight end longbow, 66", 59#@28", made from actionwood of some type. Great shooter. Here's a couple of pics:

the bow is straight? no set back?--i've got my eye on one and that bow you posted pics of is right in my wheel-house!!thanks for posting!!

Jeff also made them in a forward handle model. I have two of them. Never heard of them being called the American Model though.

i've seen one forward handle--i was gonna buy a traditionlist[waited too long] -i own a 62" longhorn[sweet shooter!] and i found a massie straight bow w/ the writing faded and no pics available--just trying to do some homework!
 thanks for the pics gene --i got a hunch thats the bow---thats how its being described
