So I wanted to share a funny hunting story with you guys. My cousin and I were talking about an old friend of ours that we used to hunt with. This fella is in a lease in Nebraska and Kansas. He was telling my cousin about this big 180" deer he'd been getting on his camera and that he was close to killing the deer. Then the landowner on the neighboring property killed it. He said, "that's just the way it go's. But what makes it so bad is that he killed it with a homemade recurve and a wooden arrow." I couldn't help but put on big ol' grin and say a "heck yeah" for the man that killed it! :biglaugh: :shaka:
Trad boys, gotta lovem!
Yes, like it would have been more satisfactory if the deer had stepped on a land mine ingeniously placed by some slob TV outdoor celebrity selling tactical explosives.....these folks just don't get it!
I would have asked the guy if he wished he was good enough woodsman to take this deer with a trad bow like the neighbor did. I have killed a lot of deer with a rifle but only a few with the bow. Quite bluntly, it takes far less overall skill to be successful with a gun.
 :bigsmyl:
gotta love it!!!

Man that's a shame.. (sarcasm insert).
