I am new to archery and got my first bow a Wisperstik. Now I just received some gold tip arrows and I don't know how to install the inserts. Could someone please tell me how to do it and what glue I need to use.

I don't glue them in. My experience is the friction holds them tight enough. Try it...if it works for you, don't glue them. Others may chime in with a glue that works for them. Brian
I,ve always glued mine with either hot melt, Tite Bond or epoxy. I "believe" Golt Tip says to use epoxy and not to use hot melt. They have a site that may tell you.
I cheat a little when I bareshaft tune and I'm cutting the shaft down after every few shots. I use scotch tape around the shaft and field point. It will hold for few shots.
If you do elect to use hot melt, be extra careful. Any heat applied directly to the shaft will destroy it. I ruined a shaft just touching it against the rim of a steel pot, while I was heating the field point with boiling water. Hot melt can lead to other problems too. On hard impacts the hot melt tends to break loose, resulting in a bulged or split tip.
I have used hot melt on carbon, but I think it and poor shaft preperation has resulted in many of the complaints on carbon shafts.
you need to glue/epoxy the inserts. you do not need to glue the nocks. i use two part epoxy on mine. It works great for us. Good luck
Long cure time 2 part epoxy, JB Weld, Goat Tuff all work Great. Ruff up the inside of the shaft with a bore brush or some sand paper. Clean with Acetone or Alcohol. Do the same with the insert.
For inserts in carbons I use Bohning Powerbond or a 24 hr.cure two part epoxy.But I think it is best to prep the shaft before glueing.I take a bore brush and etch the inside of the shaft and then clean with a q-tip with alocohol and let dry.I have never had any problems.You can get a brush at most archery suppliers or you can use a 25 caliber bore brush and like said above I also etch the insert as well.

you need a high speed saw for the carbon shafts. I use an actual arrow saw. You can use a dermel but make sure you cut it square.
I use the Powerbond.
This isn't an answer to your question, but I have Gold Tips that were too light and stiff. I put 100 grain brass inserts in them. That really helped a lot. I used Beyond Bond glue.
Kinsey Archery, where I worked part time, used a hot melt... and we didn't even clean inside. Amazing! I'd used 5 min epoxy for years and if you put a big ole field point in, you could heat that and easily turn out the insert...
I believe the hot melt they used was a Bohining stick. It was amazing. They had that miserable masonite layer back stop on the range and it took 2 hands to pull out an arrow... and the inserts held!!!
I used one 2 part expoxy and can't begin to get it out w/ heat...
Lots of ideas... it would appear that many work.
My local shop has used the Kinsey's hot melt for over 10 years/ 1000's of arrows.
Cleans the inside of the shaft with 99% alcohol and lets dry. I use the same and never have lost an insert or had one break and mushroom.

I use Goat Tuff for everything (inserts, nocks, feathers, etc.)
