Title: Uh-oh...My Bow Split
Post by: tradkeeper777 on December 13, 2018, 09:43:05 PM
So...I have this bamboo-backed hickory American Flat Bow. It is a decent bow for a couple hundred, but for some reason, the bottom limb delaminated from the bottom knock to about 2 feet up (bamboo and hickory split). Other than the split, there is nothing actually "broken". My plan is to try to repair the split with some sort of epoxy/wood adhesive, but 1) I have no idea what epoxy/adhesive to use and 2) I don't know if that plan is even a good one...Does anyone have any advice regarding my little predicament?:)

Will you post pics. I'd like to see the glue surfaces.
Who did you get it from? Maybe they would help you repair it or at least tell you what glue they used.
