Title: Question and opinions
Post by: anchorman on December 11, 2018, 06:27:46 PM
Has anyone made or shot one of binghams one piece recurve if so what was your thoughts. I've made several takedowns but here lately been thinking about shooting a recurve thought I'd try one. They are the only one I know if without starting from scratch..thanks

I made one in shop class a few years ago. I was told the form that they had in the shop was for a 60 inch bow, but it ended up being for a 58 inch so the bow came out way heavier than I had planned. It shoots pretty good.

I've made them and still have a couple around here somewhere. Good bow. Solid. Light weight. Quiet. Easy enough to make. I have a 84# one here with bamboo lams that spits a heavy hickory arrow like a friggin lazer. I'm just not into glass recurves so I quit making them.

That one piece is a good design. I think a couple of guys use it as there own. I know Great Plains uses the basic design maybe with tweaks. I have made a few of them years ago and still have the form. And one of them has blood on it.
