on the 2008 Annual United Bowhunters of Missouri Javelina Hunt.
I had a great time chasing the tough little "piggies." Finally, got one to keep the third day.
It was a 4-yard shot...and he still almost jumped the string, but the 2nd, 3rd,.......& 4th pass-throughs kept him around. Hey, I had already lost two of those quick little runts the first two days, and I wasn't taking any chances with this one. Recovered 8 yards from where I made the 1st shot.

Equipment used on this little "javie" was:
My new Jim Reynolds Ram Horn T/D 45# recurve, Grizzly Stik Sitkas with 160 grain Snuffers.
Hunted with 9 other "super" UBM friends near Sierra Blanca, TX. :campfire:

CONGRATS GENE
LOOKS LIKE YA DUN GOOD.COGATS
SOORY THATS CONGRATS
We did fairly well as a group. If you'll notice in the group picture...the three "losers" on the left. They didn't get one this year. But, that's why they call it hunting.
The lady is Brenda Hudson, wife of Larry Hudson (the "short loser"). They are part of the original founders of UBM. Brenda killed a 66 pounder, the largest javelina ever taken on this ranch. :notworthy:
fast little critters huh,i would rather hunt them than anything,,,,,
Jeff,
Fast...and did I mention tough.
About the third day I finally figured out what the ugly little critters are.....they are halibut with fur and legs. :bigsmyl:
