Title: penetration on turkeys
Post by: twosheds on March 29, 2008, 06:12:00 PM
I shoot Bob Lee Hunter, 52LBS @ 28''. My draw is 29.5 so I've been told this puts me at about 55 or 56lbs. I shoot a GT5575 with a screw in Woodsman that weighs around 150g. My arrows with broadhead weigh about 465 grains and Chronographs a little over 185fps. What do you guys think about penetration with this setup? I'm leaving for Oklahoma to turkey hunt this next week so it's a little late to add weight.  Should I get adequate penetration on turkeys or should I beef the arrows up. Thanks for your time. Tripper

Thanks guy's, I'm having last minute jitters before the trip.  It took me awhile to switch to a three blade and am not very experienced with them. Thanks again. Tripper
