Now either what am I doing wrong or what has to be done to correct the tillering

How much longer is the right limb, it looks alot longer which I think makes it look like it's bending alot more
I think it is about 2 inches longer. I may cut it back abit? Yes??
I cut an inch off and changed the handle abit. made it smaller. I was a bit too big. How does this look and what can I do to change it??

Looks to me like the right limb is longer but it might be that is because it is not bending the same. I'm still new to this self bow building. But I don't think I would touch the left limb until I worked the outer half of the right limb to bend more . Maybe someone with more experience will chime in.
First thing you need to read this link I pasted in here.

Then make yourself that tool. I cut the bottom at an angle for better string clearance.

And your tillering jobs will come out really nice like this bow.

I have used this tool the last 3 bows and everyone has come out perfect. Try it, you will love it.
Thanks Roy. I am SO MUCH A ROOKY. First attempt. have to learn.
Your welcome David. We all have been there with that first bow. They will get better and better.
sorry it took so long to see your bow buddy,I've been away awhile(all that ice fishing in Quebec). It looks good Dave and I wish I had some advice but since I've yet to tackle my first bow I'm not much help to you.Make sure you post a pic of the finished bow.A nice close one so we can see the wood.

That tillering tool really does make it easy.I made 2,one 6" long for early in the process and one 4" long for fine tuning towards the end.
