With the announcement of the Li’l Favorite, we have received quite a few questions regarding BearPaw representation in the US. Please follow this link:

It was fantastic spending time with Ron LaClair, Tim Cosgrove, and Henry Bodnik in camp this year. LOTS of ideas being thrown around. :clapper:

Really excited to see this announcement. Good things come to those who wait and this relationship will be a solid one. Shrewhaven is like the hunts of old where Fred Bear would test new equipment on a hunt and then tweak it. We’ve been privy to the prototypes going back and forth between Germany and Ron and it’s exciting to see they’ve honed in on a product that meets Ron’s critical eye and performance standards.

Henry Bodnik and Bearpaw

I've been working with Henry Bodnik on the prospect of him making bows for me for some time now. Henry was provided with models of some of the bows and he made prototypes which he brought to ShrewHaven for my approvable when he came to deer camp earlier this month.
I must say I was very impressed with those first bows, it usually takes a new bow maker a while to get things just the way I want them. Between hunting time we went over the details for the final bows doing some "tweaking" (improvments).
I was also pleased when he told me what his goal was to provide me for the up coming Traditional Expo in January.
I'm really looking forward to these new Shrew bows. :archer2:

Will they be sold in Germany too? Us Europeans would appreciate that
Has Jim Belcher got the rights to the other Shrew models and Bodnik to the Lil Favourite? I must say I am more interested in the XL 64" shrew you used to have... and it would be a shame if Bodnik is only producing the very short bow

Great news for all involved. Kustom King is my gawking page and Bearpaw "Feel the Spirit" gets me through the workday.
Best of luck in the upcoming adventures!

Does that make 3 different guy's building them over the last couple years ?

Jim belcher is no longer making Shrew bows and has no rights to any of the models. All of the Shrew bows are made exclusively for me and sold only through me.
As for Shrew bows made available in Germany, in past years I have sold and shipped bows to many foreign countrys and will continue to do so.
Right now only The Classic Hunter II and the Lil' Favorite are availabe. The 58 and 60" Super Shrew will be available soon

Thanks for your response Ron...
I have the Classic Hunter and its a fine bow... Now I am looking for something longer and I would say that the Europeans prefer longer bows for 3d...
Hopefully, you will have an outlet here in Germany..
Goodluck with your new venture

Hmm...A Classic Hunter II in the realm of the Bodnik Anubis would be something to behold.
