Title: Caribow "Featherhorn" versus "Amisk"
Post by: Bill Turner on September 19, 2018, 12:46:19 PM
Is there anyone out there who has shot both the Caribow "Featherhorn" longbow and the Caribow "Amisk"? If so, what is your opinion of each. How do they compare. I believe the "Featherhorn" is Abe's basic reflex/deflex design and the "Amisk" is his high performance limb design, same as  his "Peregrine" long bow. I'm particularly interested in the riser, grip area. I believe the "Featherhorn" is a little more streamlined but I have never held one. Thank you for sharing. :dunno:

I own an Amisk , and have shot a featherhorn. Both are takedowns and the grips were the same. I believe the only difference is the limb design.

Hey Bill.  I have both currently.  I notice no difference in the grips.  The Amisk is very much like the Peregrine a bit more aggressive limb.  The Featherhorn being available in 66" is my favorite length.  Best,  Tom.

Great Tom. Which do you prefer? I understand the "Fetherhorn" is a more traditional design. How do you compare the to performance wise?

Either one could be a favorite especially if you like all of Abe's bows.  That being said if I could only keep one of his bows it would be the Silver Fox.  Tom.
