Title: ILF riser question..
Post by: ZaneD on March 27, 2008, 01:17:00 AM
Hey guys, I have a little extra cash on my hands and I'm wondering about gettin an ILF set-up. Can you notice the difference in a cheap riser vs. a high end model???
wouldn't I be better off to spend money on a good set on limbs and them buy a cheap riser?? Mabye I should just go ta bed.  :p

You can do as i do and buy used. Lots out there if you can take your time. The bow that im shooting now cost 450.00 Samick Masters riser with New Samick Extremes limbs.

If your looking for new look no further than win&win. They have a Very good riser and limbs for around 180.00 each

Dave Soza at DAS bows (a sponsor) had a big sale recently. I would give him a call and see what limbs he might have left....don't bother to email him. In answer to your question about limb quality vs. riser...I have found that the better the limb the better the performance.

Lancaster Archery Supply has a great selection of ILF risers. (and limbs)  They have the Samick Mizar on closeout for 99 bucks.  The KAP T-Rex riser is only 10 bucks more.  They have a full selection that goes up in price from there.  Their customer service is great.

I agree with Bill, good limbs on an entry level riser will perform better than the reverse.

Keep in mind with the longer 23" or 25" riser you will have a 64" bow min.
