Title: Riser question
Post by: Bowbender63 on September 10, 2018, 04:57:55 PM
Need some help I pick up a pair of longbow limbs at Yard sale the limbs are marked 60# @28 so I cut out ariser of a pattern I had and used the limbs have a nice curve to them not sure of the limbs pad angle but the limbs are short so it's a 15" riser bow looks good strung but will only pull like 22" that's it is the angly off or does it need to be a forward grip or both thanks

Do you know who made the limbs? Try to find out what the bow the limbs were made for looks like so you can get the full potential from the limbs. The 60#@28 will depend on the riser length and the limb pad angle.

Got a pic? String and unstrung would help...

Art, honestly it doesn't look that different than my TD for angle. Best I can tell from the pic they have there.

Limbs look like plenty of reflex  but hard to tell.

Can you find a riser like that?  Think Black Hunter or Galaxy is the name of it. The whole bow is a bit over $100 so the riser might be fairly cheap.
