Dennis..you have been there many times. Any kind words for those who have never been.???? Thx...

Shade is a club worth traveling 2-3hrs to. Hospitable club and people; nice grounds; good food; the courses(2) are great; big timber flats work their way down to the creek; shoot along the creek in both directions depending on what course you are on, and work your way back up(not a bad climb). Great targets; always some novelty shoot going on. I'm about an hour out and well worth the trip. Give it a try. Thanks

I'll at least be there Saturday, but I might drag my pop up down Friday evening after work and stay through Sunday.
Guys, if you've never been to Shade, you're missing a real gem of a shoot.
-
It looks like it’s finally gonna cool off. I’m looking forward to this shoot.
-
I'm going to try to get there but I just found this post. I'll try to move a few things around.Always a fun shoot put on by some fine folks.

John will see you Saturday morning. Jim and I should be there early. If there’s one shoot I want to make it’s Shade. It was my first all trad shoot I attended years ago. Tell you how much I enjoy Shade. I had shoulder replacement surgery June 5 and I’m so happy to be coming to shoot Shade Saturday it’s the only shoot I made this summer.👍🏻 See you then!

John, once again, you and your 'boys' worked magic. Courses were great, lots of work done on the paths.
Shot early with some 'new friends' and later with some 'old friends'. Just a grand time, weather was fine early on. Hope to recruit some new members for 2019 as I'm sure the club could use the 'funds'. Thanks again for a great time; truly enjoy bs'n with everyone. Oh, I do believe trad archery is in good hands with the likes of Brad Bixler and his family. Good future for them.

John and the Shade crew. I really enjoyed all the improvements y'all made to the courses. The target sets were great and paths were just as great. Sorry I had to leave but my shoulder was telling to shut it down after 70+ shots. The chicken dinner was also really good.Jim and I finally got to shoot with our buddy monkeyball and had a blast. Always my favorite shoot to go to and can't wait until next year. The hammer course will be on our to do list for next year it looked fun!!! John

Awesome time with some good people! A weekend to remember.
The only downside is that my pop up camper is still wet and with the weather we're having, who knows how long it will be before it dries out.
