Title: Can anyone point me towards a Trad friendly pronghorn outfitter???
Post by: Bisch on August 17, 2018, 12:08:31 AM
As the title says, I got a hankering to kill a pronghorn. I would like to find an outfitter that knows something about how a Trad hunter needs things to be set up (i.e. - close shots)!

Anybody have any experience with such an outfit?

Bisch,

I hunted at the Werner Ranch North of Gillette, Wyoming a few years back and shot a nice antelope from a blind under a windmill with a Black Widow PSA. I would like to go back, but they were booked a couple years ahead back when I checked.
I saw a LOT of antelope and spent half a day deciding what a good one looked like up close!
They put you up in their basement and feed you at the family table.

Hope you work something out and get to go.

If you go with Fulldraw it'll probably be next year. They're usually booked a year in advance. If you're looking for some company, give me a yell! I'd be up for it!

Contact Ted Fry at Raptor Archery. He is currently in Wy hunting, and doing well. I think this is his 3rd year with this outfitter.

I also suggest Fred and Michelle at Fulldraw.  You wont find a nicer family run operation.

These are 2 of my good friends. They said the ranch was polluted with pronghorn.

I used Seven J outfitters a couple times.  They allowed stalking in the areas that had broken terrain and had close blinds when needed. No trouble killing goats.
