Finished up a couple of bows I will use for hunting this fall. Tried to make "twins" - one longbow and one recurve. Maple and purple heart riser and overlays. Limb lams are cherry and hickory from Kenny. Several "firsts"on these bows - stabil-kore and bearpaw glass as well as thunderbird finish (satin). Really liked the glass and I think the stabil-kore is worth the 10 bucks as it seems to make for a more stable bow. I also liked the thunderbird as it went on without too much trouble and gave a good durable finish. In hindsight though, I kind of wish I would have ordered the gloss.

Really nice Mitch!!

Beautiful bows sir! I like the contrast between the purpleheart and the maple. It makes the riser really "pop" visually.

They look great! I like seeing the same color combo used on 2 bows side by side. Like cousin bows lol

Thanks for the comments! They were fun to build and the build went smoother than previous builds! But they are not without their flaws! :goldtooth:
Roy, your trilam is still in the hunting arsenal too, along with a couple of selfbows I made. I might have to shoot 5 deer this year!
