Thanks for everyone toting praise towards kennym I bit the bullet. I have a D/R blank coming from him. Not setup to build my own lam bows yet but have one hickory selfie under my belt. It’s coming with bocote limbs and zebra riser.
Here’s Kenny’s pic of the veneers he is using for me.

Can’t wait to see it. Hopefully will draw blood with it.

That's going to be sweet, Fishinglink! Make sure to show us how you go with it!
Kenny - a question if I may.
I'm about to lay up my first D/R on my form made from your plans. I've not decided on which length I'll make yet - I like the idea of a longer bow (66"), but I have neither tip wedges or a powerlam - just the standard 36" x1.5" tapers and parallels. Will I be giving too much away in terms of smoothness or performance, and should my standard laminations influence me to lean towards the longer or shorter end of the spectrum??

You should be fine either way, on the 66" , the wedges won't be as helpful as on the shorter bows to help string angle. Unless you have a real long draw, I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you make your own tapers you can make the wedges pretty easily tho.
-
Kenny out of curiousity what would be the best length and taper rate for the tip wedges say on the 66 '' ?
-
I’d go 6” inside nocks and not over .030 to 0 in that 6” , don’t want a huge weight , just stiffen it it a bit.

Got it Thanks 👍🏻

Any tips or do/don’ts on finishing a fiberglass bow. Do you need to prep the fiberglass or just spray it?

Yes, you need to prep.
I make sure the edges are slightly rounded off so you don't raise splinters. Then I use a small block and 2-300grit to sand the glass until all smooth/shiny spots are gone. This will help eliminate waves in the finish and give a good surface to bond to. Then I wipe down with a lightly dampened rag with either alcohol or acetone. Then right before applying finish I use the compressor to blow any dust off. I do this in an area other than where I spray the finish as to not stir up more dust.

I asked same questions when I did mine and got the same answer from Brad , followed it and it turned out perfect I only went to 250 grit the only thing I can add is try to do the limbs as evenly as you can !

Well Kenny got it sent out yesterday. So pics Monday or Tuesday when it gets to me.
