I am in the market for a new bow quiver and have been looing at the Selway slide on recurve model. I have some concerns though...anyone who uses one do you have any problems with the arrow gripper section wanting to slide down the lower limb? Also is their a griupper available that will hold the small diameter Axis arrows?
I used one for years and never had it move on me. I belive there are 3 sizes the grippers come in, at the time I was shooting beman hunters and they were dang skinny. Worked well.
When you do slip it on make sure you get the quiver past the fadeouts on the limbs.
I have the quick detach model and love it. They hold my Easton Axis carbon's just fine. It actually quiets the bow down too. I read on another post that if you have problems with the quiver sliding down the limb, simply put a rubber band around the limb and then attach the quiver over the rubber band. Good luck, I think you will be pleased.
I've had them on various bows for years with nary a problem.(nut)

I have one on a Ben Pearson Rogue. It has never moved on me. in fact, it is so tight, I found it a B!$c# to slide it on the bow.
Mine was always sliding both directions no matter how hard I shoved it on. The two pieces would travel enough to expose half the broadheads after a couple dozen shots. Pretty aggrevating.
I read where others used a small amount of soapy water on the limbs to slide the quiver on. I tried it recently and it worked! The quiver was not only easier to push on but I believe the dried soap has created a surface for the rubber to stick to. Whatever the reason, the quiver has not budged after a couple hundred shots.
I have used them on and off for years. I never had a problem with them sliding. Most of the guys who stated that they did, almost always failed to slide them far enough where they rested on the meaty part of the "fade outs".
One solution, if you are concerned is to use electric tape just below the slide/above where the broadhead cover side is concerned, a couple of wraps will keep it in place, and not be overly displeasing ot the eye.
