Have used many over the years and not been super happy with any for one reason or another. After studying on it I ordered some T.A.G. Bags Bomb Bags form rockslide , I like the idea of how they are made and what they are made of. Hope to give them the real test very soon ...

I use old pillow cases and add drawstrings to the opening.

I'm in the same boat as Sam.  Maybe I'll test them this year :bigsmyl:

I really like the TAG  BOMB Bags.  They're longer and narrower than other bags I've used and help boned out meat keep that shape which seems to transfer the weight better when packing.   My only complaint about them is that I sometimes wish they were a bit larger in diameter, it can be a challenge to get the large cuts off the hind quarter into one by yourself.  Not a huge deal, I just started carrying a contractor bag and splitting down the middle and laying the cut meat on it and sliding it in.

Here's a BOMB bag with a boned out hind quarter and backstrap.

This is the same bag on my back.  Notice how well it keeps it's shape and you can barely see it outside the pack.

This is also a hind quarter and backstrap loaded in an Alaskan game bag.  It doesn't keep it's form and just makes a big blob.

Yes sir they have several advantages that I hear and that’s a big one. Also I like that flies can’t get to the meat to lay eggs and the synthetic material does not hold bacteria and moisture..

I hope to fill them with elk meat very soon..

I've been using Kuiu boned-out game bags for the past 2 years and am extremely happy with them for elk, except for their price. They are super strong, hold their shape, bug proof, breathable and are washable. It looks like they will last me for many years and will eventually pay for themselves. I will never go back to the stretchy Alaskan type bags.

We've used TAG bags for years but last year I picked up a couple sets of the XL black orvis bags on CamoFire.com.
They are a bit smaller then TAG but worked great.

I've used several and have went to Caribou Gear game bags. They are synthetic, fly proof, washable for reuse and tough as nails.

I've used TAG and Black Ovis. Prefer the TAG (larger, better construction), but at the sale price I paid for the Black Ovis I would buy those and save $$$.
