Title: The big Five O!
Post by: Wannabe1 on July 31, 2018, 01:22:48 PM
Hit the 50yr mark today and can't help but, be amazed at how time flies by after about 35. :biglaugh:  :knothead: At 38 I still looked pretty good. Not sure what happened after that?!

Yep 40 was the big hit for me, seemed like everything started to go downhill from there, more tired, not as strong, took longer to do things, had to work harder at it, etc.  but still in great shape but not the same as I was in my 30-40's for sure.   53 now and still kicking but feeling it!

Thanks again guys! It really has been a great day with my boy. He has pretty much insisted on waiting on me hand and foot. I told he didn't have to but, he was so willing I didn't have the heart to stop him! :biglaugh:

Happy big five-0 b-day, mine is in 21 days!!! Can't believe it!!!  My wife and daughters "got" me last year, with a "family reunion" cook out much to my surprise, I was grilling for my own b-day party because it wouldn't have been a surprise this year.... (THEY GOT ME!!!!) My mind still tells me I'm 20ish but my body lets me know different.  Enjoy your day!!!!

Blessings on you and  happy birthday.
Every day is a blessing.

My sister in law who died of ALS, after she contracted that terrible disease said she would never ever wish a day away again. ( "I wish it was Friday" etc.

To ease your pain at hitting the big 5oh, maybe you need to call Craig Ekin and order yourself a new Hill "Big Five".  That's pretty good calming medicine for a lot of things. :biglaugh:

Happy Birthday. Believe it or not but 50 is just not that old in this day and time. Get and read the book "Younger Next Year" and heed the advice. You'll be glad you did. You have years of traditional archery ahead of you. Take advantage of the opportunity. Good luck and good shooting. :archer2:

Roger that! I have had a great B-Day folks! My son made it a pretty good time. Somehow, he ended up with a $100, 1000pc LEGO set and it was supposed to be my day! :knothead: :biglaugh:
