The clock is ticking down for this year's Denton hill shoot! I haven't benn able to make it for quite a few years now but this year the wife and kids and I are making a day trip out on Thursday. The main goals are to set my six year old daughter up with a bow of her own, shoot, have fun, maybe buy a few trinkets and maybe sell a few at the blanket swap. I'm hoping the family has fun and in the future we can go for several days and camp. So who else is going this year?
I will be there with Barry Wensel under the vendors tent. I should be there Thursday. Barry is giving a seminar, but I have not been able to pin down which day. But please stop by and ask him when he will give his group talk versus individual talks with each customer at the booth. Should be a great time for all. Mike
I'll be there, as well.
Please stop by the LifeCycle Gear booth and say hello. I always enjoy meeting new friends and seeing old ones at Denton.
I'll be there at the BCY table.
Really looking forward to it. Should be getting there sometime on Wednesday.
I've missed the last couple due to work and family obligations. I'll be there the whole time. Looking forward to it!

Yep, I'll be there Thursday - Sunday
Wife and I'll be there Thursday with another couple, any chance I can get my copy of One with the wilderness signed again. One of the best times of the year for us lots of amazing vendors and lots of people with the same likes to talk with, can't wait hope the weather is as nice as last year!
I've only missed two. My wife and I stay at a B&B nearby. It has been an annual vacation for many years.
Can't wait! We will be there in our booth under the Vendor Tent! Stop by and say hello!
The only one my son and I missed was the first one, been there for each one since. Can't believe how long this has been going on. The first year we went my son was 12. Now we go with his son who will be a senior this year and his 11 yr. old daughter! It's been a lot of fun...even after the tornado and no power a few years back!
We will be there as well.. I'm leaving in a couple of hours, hopefully. I will be set up at the IBO trad shoot in WV this weekend and then on to ETAR.
As always, I have a bunch of stuff! Nearly 300 used bows, all of the other trad supplies as well.
If you are in the market for bow building supplies, I will have a pallet of crazy riser blocks and a couple hundred sets of veneers... glue as well.
Thanks, BigJim
My daughter and I will be there from Wednesday on.
Hope to meet a lot of you guys there! I'm getting excited!
We will arrive on Monday evening and be there through Sunday. My wife, one granddaughter and myself. Looking forward to seeing some of y'all!
I'll be there with my 11-year-old grandson from Wednesday thru Sunday. Last year was his first time and he made me promise we will go every year! He had a blast. Looking forward to it.
me and my gang of scallywags will be there! :biglaugh:
The Mrs. was kind enough to donate her birthday to another trip to ETAR, she is a good, good wife. We'll roll in Thursday and head out Sunday. This will be my third run out there and really looking forward to it.
Striker bows will be there! Come by and check us out! Bring your gloves and tabs and test drive a few!
See you there
Keith

Those of you who are going to Denton be sure and check out Teresa's wool, especially the wool bibs. I got mine last fall and absolutely love them. Zippers galore, pockets galore, easy on and off.

Can't wait will have my boys and myself under the vendor tents can't wait to see some old friends and say hi to some of my fantastic customers
And ETAR itself!!!!!! Is always a blast
Hey Gary - You better pack them boys some boots. ETAR is going to be a sloppy muddy mess this year with all the rain we're getting in Central PA.
We've had really good weather for several years in a row now, so I guess we're due for a messy one. The vendors will like it - drives people into the tents and floods the money out of their pockets.
I live in Port Matilda about 2 hours from Denton and it's been raining here for 3 days...should be interesting!
I'm leaving this afternoon and will provide a report if I'm able.
Imagine several thousand people stomping over the same exact spot and you've got one big muddy mess! I told my wife to pack her old tennis shoes.
Makes me glad I stay off site when the whole place turns into Woodstock.
Should be fun!
I'm just east on Rt. 6 a pieceway. Hope to get there if obligations allow......would like to meet some of ya's....do ya's all wear big yellar hats what say TG on em? So's I know who to meet?
Howitser, I should be easy to spot, ill be the guy shooting trad! 😁 I'm usually the only one!
It's been rough this past week. My younger brother in Kentucky suddenly passed away. What a shock. Karen and I are back home now and packing up for the Denton Hill trip. Come by the booth and say "hello". We have a huge variety of bow quivers to show. :archer2:
Don, sorry to hear that. I'll definitely stop by and say hello.
In central PA now, heading a bit further north to be there tomorrow. I didn't bring waders to cross the creek to 9 mile, but otherwise I think I'm set for the rain. Forecast shows things ok starting Thursday.
Not sure what Sweka is talking about with several years of good weather. This will be my 3rd year. Last year was great, but I remember some serious showers crowding the vendor tents two years ago.
Well, it's Wednesday morning and we have wimped out. Despite the fact that the reservations have been made, car rented, and everything packed, we aren't, going this year. The passing of younger brother Larry and the trip to Kentucky left Karen and I a little stressed out. The weather reports showing flash flooding and rain all week were more than we could stand, Good luck to everyone, we will miss you, have a great time, and Karen and I will pray for your safety to Denton Hill and back home.
Deepest sympathy to you and your family Don.
Deno
Sorry for your loss, prayers for the family.
If a guy was to go up tomorrow, would there be any space available to pitch a small tent and sleep if need be? I have not been up there for a very long time, I don't remember what it's like for over night camping. Thought of maybe going up. It's 3hr drive for me. Thanks
Had a blast yesterday, got to talk with Uncle Barry and Herdbull, wife spent a lot of money and got my best friend converted from a crossbow to a recurve, and big thanks to Big Jim for taking the time to get him set up, now he wants to go back next year for a couple of days so we can have the time to shoot and shop and chew the fat.
large time hads by all
Sorry about the news Don,
I wish I was there again. Talk about a kid in a candy store... Have fun everyone and stay kinda dry, I remember years where my backquiver filled with water and every time I leaned over I would get another shower. :scared:...
I will miss being with good friends and seeing faces I have not seen in quite a while.
Redshaft, it might be tough. It fills up fast up there. We went up for the day on Thursday and had a fantastic time. Bought my six year old daughter a Saint Joe's River youth bow and she couldn't put it down. At least not until her and her little sister found the mudpit on the swamp course! They already want to go back next year! I'm okay with that!
Should have taken a picture, they put 3 picnic tables in the creek to cross to nine mile course. Muddy but still had a great time. Worth the trip just to hear uncle Barry.
