For eight weeks that is......
I've had an itch to try a Tall Tines Sticklinger since Brian came out with his R/D limb design. Went so far as a few years back I had a good phone conversation with Brian about building me one but never pulled the trigger.
As luck would have it, a couple of weeks ago Fred Cioffi (1/4 Away) had one in the classifieds in my weight range so I thought "now or never". We were going on a family vacation and Fred agreed to hold off shipping, timing its delivery when we'd be arriving back in town.
Unfortunately last week I had a little mishap involving a 16 pound dog, some clumsiness on my part with a little bad luck thrown in. What's a family vacation without at least one trip to the Emergency Room?
In medical jargon "Nondisplaced fracture of the right radial Styloid with inter-articular extension (chauffeurs fracture). No disassociation/dislocation is identified". In laymans terms, a broken wrist on my string hand. Right now no surgery required but it sounds like a cast for the next eight weeks.
Tall Tines 62" Stickflinger, Chechen and Wenge riser with Mango limbs. Should be around 52# with my 30" draw. Sadly all I can do right now is admire her beauty :banghead:

Don't be deceived, he's not as innocent as he looks.

Oh man that's gotta stink! Hopefully your recovery will be swift and full. Good looking bow though and cute dog! :goldtooth:
Man, that's a good lookin' stick! Send it down here and I'll have it all broke in for you in 8 weeks time!!!!
Get well sooner than later!
Bisch
I was gonna give the same offer as Bisch and I'm closer. Less shipping cost, and I won't draw it as far! :biglaugh:
Get well quick man, and don't rush anything. In other words, listen to the doc.
Great looking bow!
It's going to be a long 8 weeks! :dunno:
Oh man that is a bummer! Great looking longbow though.
You know we always have had very similar interest in bow weights :)
Heal up and good shooting.
Mike, just your luck!! Sorry to hear about your wrist, but you and the bow will meet up later. Take care of yourself.
Denny
I have one just a touch lighter, and another on the way. You should send it north and let a more experienced hand break her in.
Talk about bad timing!!! Sorry to hear the news, but wishing a speedy recovery. That sure is a fine looking bow!
Nice stick. You are lucky Brutus didn't rip your hand off! Get well Bro

Hope you heal up fast Mike. Beautiful bow!
I hope your recovery is complete and quick. That is a fine bow that is also waiting for you to heal up. I'm sure we will hear more from you when you are able to shoot again.
There no way that I wouldn't shoot that bow for 8 weeks I would have a mouth tab on it.
Mike don't rush it. Heal up. Cast Left Handed for a while. :deadhorse:
Sorry for your mishap. That is a beauty for sure. Wish I had seen this one first, I would have taken it off Fred's hands in a second. If you ever want to sell it, please PM me first. Thanks and heal quickly and completely. God speed.
I'll take it! Seriously though that sucks! Better now than October!
I'll make you an offer you can't refuse, I'll pay shipping :biglaugh:
Beautiful and enticing bow.
Enduring a proper recovery will aid in ensuring that you two will be able to enjoy valued quality time.
Hang in there.
First your dog is adorable
Second hope you heal up good and that's gonna be a long wait man lol
How's the dog?

And here I am, dog lover that I am, thinking that dogs have always been man's best friend! That one has an evil look about him. ;) :)
Get well soon. The added anticipation will make your first few shots that much sweeter.
Dave.
