I'm going to a local traditional archery shop today that stocks a few of the Longhorn bow by Check-Mate, and I'm going to try them out. Anyone shoot one or have any opinions?
Thanks,
Mike

Very nice bow, IMO. Got to shoot one a while back while at a trad 3D shoot. If I hadn't purchased a bow a few weeks earlier, it probably would have gone home with me.

I like them--very smooth, quick, very little hand shock. The only negative I can think of is the reflexed riser is more sensitive to torque. If it came in a 64", I've have one, but since it doesn't I'll have to stick with my Crusader.

My son has one he bought from Chad. Very nice shooting bow.
Draws very smooth at my 28.5 inch draw. Has a tiny bit of handshock compared to my Hunter56 recurve, but I'm sensitive to handshock due to an accident, so you may not even notice it. My son doesn't.
I would but one but, hey, I can shoot my sons whenever I want!!!!!

I have a Longhorn and a Raven. Kind of hard to pick which one to take out any given day. Mines a
58" I like shorter bows.
If you like the style you cant go wrong with a Longhorn.
