Title: Osage bow help. Do I straighten?
Post by: twitchstick on June 06, 2018, 04:27:20 PM
I'm not sure if this stave needs straightening or it will be fine to just tiller it as is? It looks like it would be okay but I want some opinions. Here are a few pictures I hope you can tell from them.

Start tillering. You won't know how the string tracks until you reach low brace. Selfbows aren't like glass lam bows or wood lam bows. They can take some wiggles and twists without adverse affects.
Get that bow bending, get it to low brace and post more pics.

I agree with Pat.  I fine tune the alignment after I get it braced.
