A few months ago, I recall a thread asking where to buy quality hickory shafts. As I recall, two sources were highly recommended. I can't find this thread with "search," so here we go again -- can anyone help? Thanks, Dave
Allegheny Mountain Arrows Woods has them. I haven't tried his Hickory, but I have been very happy with his Laminated Birch shafts. www.arrowwoods.com (http://www.arrowwoods.com)

Thanks, guys. I'll check 'em both. Years ago I found total success on elk with hickory ... then my local supplier ran out of shafts in my spine/weight and I succumbed to wanting to flaten my trajectory a bit. In that time I've tried just about everything else made of wood and still can't equal hickory, all considered. So it's full circle for me, assuming they're affordable and can be had single-taper. Happy Easter. Dave
Dave,
I bought a few dozen from Allegheny last summer and have really liked them. I bought parallel shafts and use a heat gun to straighten them. I plan on using them to shoot a bull this fall. They should really do the trick on a big ol' wapiti. They were very durable in my practice last fall as well.
