I just bought a Samick Hawkeye for $177.00. I got 11 arrows, two shooting gloves and 4 strings to go with it so I think I did okay.
The riser on this older model was kinda fat around the pivot area and palm swell for my taste, so I took the rasp to it. I think I may have taken a quarter pound of wood from that area but it fits great now and shoots very well.
The bow is AMO 62", Marked 50#, and is cut to center. I've tried three different spines so far...wood and aluminum...and they shoot with no visible flight problems. I'll spend more time with the bow on Sunday to see how adaptable it is. So far it shoots great. Photos are after I rasped the riser.

George, looks like a bunch of fun, nice work on the riser. Keep us posted as to the performance of that baby. How do they draw out past 30"? chickenman
