Title: "New" Bear razorhead?
Post by: Mojostick on March 20, 2008, 06:21:00 PM
Anyone shoot the 145gr Razorheads now being made by Trophy Ridge?
http://www.trophyridge.com/broadheads/

Trophy Ridge® introduces the latest evolution of the most popular broadhead ever made. This broadhead has taken more game than any other. The newly re-engineered Razorhead is stronger, sharper and more aerodynamic.

Sorry,

They can call it what they want. But its not a razorhead.

I'll stick to the original, green glue-ons or the blue screw-ins.

I found the undertaker videos quite interesting, but I will stick with my siver flames and/or cheaper magnus broadheads.

" This broadhead has taken more game than any other. The newly re-engineered Razorhead is stronger, sharper and more aerodynamic."

If it is newly re-engineered, how has it had enough time to take more game than any other?

Well, that's it folks...raise a glass to the passing (at least production wise) of what has been a good friend to most of us...Razorheads sure had a heck of a run though...

If that's a Razorhead, then I guess compounds are bows.

Just part of the reinvention of the rifle.

Not even close to the original.  Why can't people leave well enough alone.

It seems like all Trophy Ridge does is copy. One, the Fred Bear. But two, the "Undertaker" looks exactly like a piston point. The only thing it seems like their changing is the name.

Bear Archery produced over 3.5 million broadheads since 1956.No kidding StCharles saw the records. Now I ask you how could or would you think you could improve on that.A rounder wheel...I think not...bowdoc

What I thought was funny about the "Undertaker" video was: Does that discount the 15 videos before this one where they took tons of deer with a different head?

The "new" Razorhead might be a good broadhead, but it's a Razorhead in name only...

Looks nearly identical to the Hoyt Bow Bullet made back in the late 80's.  That was a short lived model with a reputation for shedding it's blades on impact. Also one of the first broadheads sold in packs of less than 6, but at the same or higher price (sound familiar?).  I still have a new 4 pack in my broadhead drawer.

Looks like an attempt to ride the fame of the Razorhead (and most likely sell them in packs of 3 for better than $30 a pop).

I'll hang with my Magnus 2 blades and Snuffers, thanks much...
