Rob I applaud the efforts and work that have gone into this. No small project I suspect. Thank you!
Quick note.
I'm using newer iPad.
-When selecting a topic from pow wow returning to to pow wow it leaves the thumbnail up and I have to totally exit pow wow to start fresh.
-if I click on a thread with images and then return to home pow wow it leaves full size ghost of the images up. I have to totally exit pow wow to remove.
Hope this is helpful. New site is real nice.
for folks using mobile devices with the taptalk app, i'll be installing the taptalk module into the forum later this morning, look for it after noon (east coast time). :wavey:
All you guys that have been working on this for months are amazing. I applaud your efforts and thank you so much.
I posted a test picture and didn't like the results. It flipped the picture 90 degrees from what I have on my computer. I managed to go back and flip what I had posted, but what I really wanted to do was delete the post and try again. Did I miss something?

Same here!! I love Tapatalk and it makes it super easy to post pics. Also good for "live" hunts if you like to post pics and updates while you're in the woods.

Tapatalk seems to be working very well for me. Very pleased to see this feature. I'll be spending a lot more time on TradGang now that it's on a good mobile platform like Tapatalk.

Is there way for me to see the messages I've sent on PMs?

You need to goto mymessages
Then select change settings then preferences.
Then click on
Save a copy of each personal message in my sent items by default.
Rob is there any reason to keep the name of the person who started the thread right below the name of it? Were reading double to see what we want to open and find with the mouse pressing the wrong line.
My only concern is font size. I wish the entire thing was sized just a bit larger.

it's the way this forum's "theme" works. i could probably modify the source code but i think it's very important to see just who started a thread.
as to yer mouse pointer accuracy, practice makes perfect!
i may be making the target a tad larger. :wavey:

a few folks have asked for a larger overall forum screen font.
i can change the theme css source code for this. it's currently a 10pt and in a few minutes i'll make it an 11pt.
how that will affect the very many different computers, screen resolutions, browsers, etc, we'll see.
here it goes in 5, 4, ............
3, 2, 1 .... done.
refresh/reload your browser.
mo' bettah? or no good?
*IF* you need it larger (or smaller) most browsers allow for instant screen sizing. with firefox it's super easy, just open the browser menu (upper right, 3 horizontal lines icon)....

Thanks Rob!!
I like it...just a tad easier to see
it shouldn't be a problem for computers and normal sized screens, but dunno about cell phones ......... :dunno:
It's ok, I can live with it.
Little better...
Looked good on cell phone too.

i kinda liked the old but i won't go against the membership consensus. the font size change doesn't get down into post quotes.
Thanks, my old eyes can see it better now.
Rob - what is the maximum size a photo can be? I have tried and it says too large
Thanks

technically, there is no maximum size. really large camera and cellphone images will almost always time out because the traffic on our server is so severe almost 24x7 and bandwith for image/file uploads will always take a back seat to topics and postings. really large images are great for making into hard copies but are almost useless for computers.
"smaller" images are guaranteed to upload fast.
what is a "smaller" image? 2000 or less pixels in width x length. the truth is, even those images are WAAAAY too large to be properly viewed on a typical computer screen, let alone a phone or tablet. there is no need for that, it's a waste of everything.
so it will help to resize really large images. for my personal use, i size to 1024 wide at the max, but most are 800 wide down to 640 wide at the minimum.
hope this somewhat helps. :wavey:
of course that helps - Thanks :goldtooth:
