Looking good! Any chance we’ll be seeing any of those at Baltimore or Sawmill?

Probably not, sorry..

I’m trying to post pics straight from the phone, but it’s not working.
-
Did it work from the ipad ?

I’m trying to post pics straight from the phone, but it’s not working.
Phone should work, try again, Brad.

You posted a thumbnail picture, which is fine.
After you select your picture from your PC or phone, just to the right of the little window where the picture name is, click ( Insert Attachment 1 ). That will make the picture full size in your post.

Keep getting one of two messages.
Unable to use that type of file(jpeg)
Or
File took to long to upload or is too large for server.
-
File took too long to upload or is too large for server.
Key word there is " or is too large for server "
Ok here is the deal with that.
Cell phones take humongous size pictures. Way larger than ever needed. So trying to post a file that large, it has to go from your phone to a server to another server , etc etc. That time frame causes the software to time out.
I had the same problem with my phone camera. You need to go into your phone's camera settings and reduce the size of pictures it takes...
Or resize them in you photo gallery of your phone before posting.
-
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ] Ok trying it I can get in from my ipad & iPhone but can't get in from my PC it won't let me in the site I'm all Mac ?

On my Ifone I couldn't find how to resize so I googled it and it says email them to yourself and you can choose size there before it goes.
-
Still not getting PM but will work on that too....
-
Ya just replied to my pm and I replied back...

One of my latest bows... 55# @28".... 560gr @ 28" - 183fps .... @ 29" - 191 fps....

Nice..

Still learning , replies after post here
-
if you have a smart phone, you can download an app called photo resizer that automatically resizes the pictures you take and then you can upload them right into here without having to email them to yourself
-
Good job, Tim.
I knew there was an app for that.
-
Not working from my IPad, don’t know what to do

It worked. Sorry about the first pic, cannot find out to erase it.
-
I got it Bue...
-
Yup Jeff I remember that bow....
-
Another way to easily resize cell phone images is to text them to yourself. It'll automatically resize the image to 'normal' viewing size. Just download the image from the message you sent yourself and it will be a smaller version of the one still on your phone.
This one was >5mb and now is 900kb after I texted it to myself. [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
-
I used the resizing app on the iPad ,seems to work good now these where my 2017 season hunting bows ! That is ones I hit insert
-
Miles, good suggestion.
Nice bow.
-
I just got a new phone last week... Not aware of any native resizing capability. But I'm sure there are some apps available on all platforms for manually resizing. Texting to myself seemed to be the easiest.
Now I need to look into taking better Pics of bows, I never seem to be able to get a good balance of details and amount of bow in the pictures.
-
test
well that didn't work
-
try again

This site seems similar to PA now. On PA I got around the whole image size and everything by attaching links from the web. If you store your pictures online with something like Google photos, Imugr, Photobucket, Etc you can do that. You just open the image, right click it and "copy image address". It's important that it's the image's address and not "coppy image", or "save image as". If you're using Google Photos which has privacy settings, you first have to move the picture to a "public" album before others can see the image you share. You do this by creating an album and going to album settings ("more options") and opening "sharing options" and turn on the "Anyone with the link can see these photos" setting. To insert the link so it shows up as a picture on a thread you use the insert image button which is below the Bold button on the reply page of this site. Then simply paste the "image address" in the brackets.

The nice thing about doing it this way is 1) you can put images in the middle of your writing instead of them all being at the end like with the attachment. and 2) you don't have to resize the image. It can be whatever size it is in your storage site.

Some of the pics on my laptop are too big and the site won't accept them. I think that was one problem. I can always use Igmar too.
-
One more try. This is about the 5th attempt. If it works it is a picture of my latest Creation.
-
I'll try a couple more. They didn't work until I took the pictures with my cell phone and sent them to my email address and saved them on my desk top pc, then did the attachment thing here[attachment=1
-
The previous post was suppose to be 2 different pictures. They were large pictures but when I clicked on " modify " at the top of the post and tried to delete one of them all it did was make them appear smaller.
I am trying a couple more now.
-
I think I finally have it figured out.

Well I don’t see how to do that. Is the pic I attached ok? I am using an iPad.
Do you use Dean T pattern which has a shorter lower limb?
I have been using his pattern for many years...still looking for the perfect tiller.

Above is from my phone.
Yes your picture is ok, but it is a thumbnail, which is fine.
After you select the picture, the pictures name will appear in the little window right beside where you clicked choose file.
Just to the right of that, click ( insert attachment 1 )
You will not see the picture after you do that.
You will see the words attachment is equal to 1.
But not exactly like that I wrote.
But with tapatalk, I believe you have an option to choose the picture size. Don't make it too large.
-
From tapatalk.
I haven't had tapatalk but a couple weeks so it's new to me.

I follow Deans style but I like the limbs equal length.
I get a better looking brace and full draw tiller look.
I tiller for equal limb timing.
-
Thanks Roy, I understand what you mean about equal limbs and tiller. The shorter bottom limb always ends up looking odd. Do you tiller on a traditional tree or do you shoot for a dynamic tiller?
My last couple bows I have been using a tree with a radius shelf to try and get a good dynamic tiller, but I have to tell you I am not sold on it I am thinking equal limbs and a traditional tillering tree may be better.

I want the pull rope to travel the vertical line coming down the wall.
Ya I hated that lower limb looking all bent up too. LOL
