Hi all. I was wondering if any Idahoans on the site would be interested in bustin a few bunnies in January? I dont know many traditional archers, and it would be fun to get out and cure the winter time blues. Any takers?
-
Where are you at in Idaho? I'm in Utah but can drive.
-
Im in Boise...the only areas I know for rabbits are in SW Idaho, so it could be quite a drive.
-
SW Idaho is only a couple of hours from SLC isn't it?
Might work out.
-
I believe that its around 5.5 hrs to boise, bur maybe south of twin falls....

I'm game,my buddy and I are heading north to chase them Sat. I am a newbie at it but I saw the darn things tracks all over last weekend.
-
Does anyone know the guy that wrote the article in TBM about rabbits this month? He is in N. Idaho somewhere.
-
I'm in Meridian. Let me know what you have in mind. I have a few Saturdays tied up this month but most of my time is free.
-
Rob,
I don't know him but his name is familiar and I think I'm connecting it to archery many years ago. Could be I'm confusing him with someone else cause I'm old. You might try contacting him through TBM.
I'm planning to get out after some hares, we lost all our snow up to 4000' and there is a lot of ice.
Ralph, If you are living in Meridian and most of your time is free am I reading retirement between the lines?
-
Ralph,
Meridian rather then McCall, I don’t know about that, it appears you are going in the wrong direction, that is like moving to a big city.

Im thinking a saturday around the 1st of feb. Either in the desert or up in the snow with snowshoes. Havent done that before, might loose a lot of arrows though.
-
I'm checking in with you guys from Idaho.
Can any of you tell me what part of the state has the best antelope hunting. I would appreciate any contact at all; guided, semi-guided, DIY.
I know about the best states, but I would like Idaho. Some states like Arizona require long life times of waiting for a tag.

Dan, check in with some of the Idaho Traditional Bowhunters. Seems they used to have rabbit hunts over there evey year. Jeff Fealko is the president.
-
Dave...PM sent.
-
Dan,
February 1st would work for me. I don't know much about the rabbit population in the area. Snowshoe or flat land will work for me.
Walt,
I'll have to tell you all about it someday...
Chad,
Not quite retired. Soon...

I saw alot of sign in the Farragut area during the late deer hunt I will check on the rabbit regs there
-
Fellas,
If it's open, I'm game! Sounds like fun! (SE Boise, there's rabbits across the street from me...no hunting there though...

Hey guys...We are going throught the process of selling/buying houses. A couple of deals fell through. Anyway I have been a little preoccupied. lets shoot for the 1st weekend in feb, I should be through with this mess by then.
Now where do we go? I know a place or two near silver city....
-
When I was in Idaho, there were a lot of them around Homedale.
-
Is this still a go?
-
Im still game...I actually work at Cabelas (I know- a rough life, poor me), and the manager is leaving on vacation, which leaves me in charge, and my schedule in feb isnt as flexible as I thought. Anyhow, we can still shoot for the 3rd of 4th of feb, and yall can shoot some bunnies even if I cant be there.
I was thinking marsing area, possibly on the way to silver city. Any other suggestions?

How about we go out sunday the 4th for a couple of hours,1-5 or so, then get home in time for the football game. I think it starts around 6:00pm.
Im done with church around 11:00 or so, so we could meet earlier if you want.
