Heading out to visit my wife in South Oklahoma (Marietta area) 3/21/08 - 3/31/08. Plan on hunting hogs for first time. If anyone is around that area and wants to join me (help me) for a public land hunt that would be great. Otherwise I will just try to learn on the fly.
Dude, talk to Ck 7 Th Age BowHunters (http://www.cdkellar.com/) might have to drive little more South, but Trust me You'll lov the view in Tejas. I lived down there for 14 years.
Thanks Sal,
I may just do that but I'd still like to do some public land hunting as well. I know my wife said that she saw alot of pig sign while hiking on public land in Hickory Creek Wildlife Management Area. I've also heard that the Red River is a good area.
Do a search on US Army Corps of Engineers Tulsa District. You can get a map of the public hunting land on Lake Texhoma. Lots of public hunting land and lots of hogs in that area.
Head east out of Marietta towards Madill just before you reach the little town Lebanon you will cross over a bridge this is part of lake Texhoma called Wilson creekevery thing on the north sidis corps land and holds a lot of hogs.
