We had this discussion about a month or so ago and some of you said you were feeding soybeans. Where do you find whole soy beans. All they have at my local mfa is ground. Btw picked up a new ladder stand and 30gal moultrie feeder from natchez shooting supply for a good deal if you are in the market..

try farmers, I get about 200lbs os soy beans from a farmer I get my corn from.... I have found that if you just put soy beans in a feed, they run out. I mix them with corn to help keep them in. What the deer don't eat, the birds & tree rats get.
how about in southern MO? Didnt know they grew soybeans in jersey...
geno,
I sent you a private message but never heard from you so now I'll comment here.
Soybeans, ladder stand, feeder. Sounds like baiting to me. Baiting is illegal in Mo. isn't it?
Maybe I'm wrong about how I percieved/ interpreted your post, if so, apologies in advance.
Hey Hawkeye,
Never got the pm..Thanks for keeping up with mo. laws. And thanks for taking the time to worry about what I am doing..So how about them beans.

In Missouri supplemental feeding is legal during the off season. You have to shut it down either 10 or 14 days before hunting begins.
Your close Non typical. You can leave it out all yr. you just cant hunt over it. It has to be gone 10 days prior to hunting the area. Salt and mineral are not considered bait.

Why Yes, at one time Jersey was known as the Garden State. You might still find farms growing Sweet beets, sweet potatoes, white corn, sweet corn, soybean just to name some. Try a mix of stuff. Next month I start adding bird seed to corn, July, I'll add sweet feed to the corn/bird seed.
HAS ANYONE CHECKED THE PRICES OF SOYBEANS LATELY? :scared:
geno,
No need to get testy! Some people NEED to be worried about ! :)
