Hay guys. What glue do you use to fletch up your carbon arrows? Thanks Mike.
Fletch Tite Platinum works very well
I have had nothing but trouble with the platinum and have switched to fletch tape :0)
never had any problem with platinum at all, sets quik and you dont have to worry about it when you get t on your fingers, like u would with super glue!
Fletch Tite Platinum for me.
Goat Tuff.
Have used it on carbons for years and never a delam. Use it on inserts too, but if you have to remove and insert, heat a field tip red hot, screw in and pull at the same time. Easy to ruin a carbon w/heat.
Try ground deer hooves and water.
Platinum here too. No problems as of yet.
I like to put a crown color on my arrows, even the carbons. If you do that, the Platinum won't adhere well. I use Duco over a painted finish.
I've given quite a few different fletching glues a try, and have been very disappointed with all of them! So what I do now, is buy a few of the smallest tubes of super glue I can find (usually about 3oz tubes) and keep them sealed in my kit box until I want to fletch a bunch of arrows. That way I don't waste glue by it getting too old to use, and it's always fresh, which is when I've found it to be strongest and easiest to use. ;)
You will not go wrong with Fletch Tite Platinum.
Depends on what carbons that you are fletching.
Platinum works on ADs, CX, GTs and shafts with cap wraps without an issue. It has never worked for me on Beman and Axis shafting and for that reason any carbon that Easton makes I use a cyanoacrylate glue with an accelerator. I treat grizzly sticks the same way because of their slick finish. I have also had mixed results with platinum and various paints and finishes so when paint is involved I used either duco or a cyanoacrylate glue. dino
Ive gone to fletch tape on all my arrows, wood and carbons
I used fletch tape on carbons with no troubles. I just love tape. :bigsmyl:
I use goat tuff, has worked good for me.
Thanks for all your comments guys. I'll try the platinum.Mike.
Fletch Tape with s drop of Superglue at each end of the feather.
I've used Fletch Tite and Fletch Tite Platinum and both worked the same, no problems!
