Title: suction cup arrows!
Post by: Jim now in Kentucky on March 15, 2008, 11:48:00 PM
I had asked for help finding suction cups for toy arrows. Hunted all over the Web, then my wife said, try the Family Dollar store, "they have lots of junk like that."

Toy dart gun set for $1.59 did the trick.

Here's the finished product with a couple dozen 1/4" white spruce shafts I made to supply the grandchild demand. The shafts came out perfect from my router jig. They are perfectly round, straight, smooth and right on .250" diameter

Makes me wish I was a kid again (of course I have had to try these out with the little 3# bow that launches them. They stick to windows quite well and thump the buttons in the couch with enough force to please a kid. (Don't think they would kill a mouse--probably would kill a fly or skeeter).

When my daughter was two years old she had a little bamboo bow I made for her. She took out our living room window with one of those.  I switched over to HTMs and stuff animals.

TSP, that's why I made a weaker bow. Still throws the arrow bow doesn't hit with quite the WHACK that the other one did. I'm thinking I need to make one for myself so I can shoot the bad guys on TV!

My Grandson said, " when we go hunting I'll turn the suction cups around so they can shoot through them..."
