Got an opportunity to get out for a bit yesterday afternoon and spotted this Marriams gobbler on the creek. Made a roundabout stalk then realized he was walking right to me so hunkered down. Took all of 15 minutes. Shot was 15 yards, thru the back about the upper leg joints. Didn't go anywhere which is unusual for most turks I've shot, dead in 30 seconds. 8" beard, 3/4" spurs, VPA three blade a buddy gave me, AD arrow, and my old Toelke Whip.
