I can't seem to figure out how to post pictures on here but I killed a 200# sow in the north ga mtns yesterday morning. I've been busting butt all summer scouting and we have had a nearly complete acorn crop failure. Only by continuous searching did I finally find some in abundance high on a ridge.
I found her high in a red oak shortly after daylight. After stalking to within ten yards, I shakily waited for her to climb down. When she finally did, the fletchings just appeared in her side and she only went about 80 yards (straight downhill of course).
She was 1.3 miles from the truck and it took three trips to get her out but I had it done by noon. Unbelievable hunt and unbelievable animal! Just wish some of my buddies had been there to experience it with me, and to help pack of course.
