Title: Bow Quiver placement?
Post by: BowHuntingFool on March 14, 2008, 12:56:00 PM
Hey guys and gals... I was wondering if there is proper placement for a bow mounted quiver. I have a EFA quick detach quiver that I put on my bow and I noticed erratic arrow flight. Kinda frustrating as I just got my Bow and Arrows tuned to fly true. Now I put the quiver on and the arrows are kicking nock left and hitting a little high and left. Is the quiver mounting points supposed to be close together or spread apart as far it can be??

Thanks!

Joe, hate to say this, but you're probably gonna have to re-tune the bow (not necessarily the arrows) now that you've added the quiver...that extra weight just threw a variable into your equation that you'll have to work through....

Fatman, I hate to hear you say it...haha! Well back to the drawing board!

Is there a starting point to this equation??? Where to begin?

Joe, you need to make sure the quiver is off the working part of the limb.  When looking at it from the side you should see where the riser wood begins to taper down into the limb.  The quiver should be on the thicker portion where you can still see the riser wood.  Put it on tight and then push it down further to tighten it up more.  Hope this makes sense...Mike

Thanks Mike, I kinda just messed with this before I started tweaking with my Bow. In doing so it seemed to help a bit. Thanks for the heads up!
